A year and a half ago, I went to the Pakistan/India border, Wagah Border, to witness their daily ceremony of taking down the two countries' flags. It is about an hours drive from Lahore, Pakistan. I thought this could be an interesting situation to note as the countries were once upon a time one country. Despite much of what you hear in the news, this ceremony is a peaceful way of showing national pride and respect for each other.
